Mechanical Design Engineer

We are seeking talented engineers to join our team as a Mechanical Designer Engineer, working on-site with one of our clients. This role will place you in a technically demanding environment where your ability to learn quickly and take responsibility is essential.
The Role
As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you will be embedded within our client's development team, working on advanced mechanical systems. The role requires you to actively learn from your colleagues while also taking initiative to identify and address your own knowledge gaps. Given the complexity of the projects, you will need to engage with both your peers and technical experts to ensure successful outcomes.
What You Will Do
- Apply your technical education and experience in mechanical design to tackle complex engineering challenges.
- Utilize your understanding of GD&T, stack-up calculations, and DFMEA methodologies to ensure suitable design.
- Engage in root cause analysis using tools to troubleshoot and resolve issues.
- Collaborate closely with the client’s team, contributing to the development of critical mechanical components and systems.
- Take responsibility for your continuous learning and development, with support for limited competency development provided by our team.

Requirements 🎓
- A MSc or BSc in Mechanical Engineering
- Strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
- Proficiency in stack-up calculations.
- Familiarity with DFMEA methodology.
- Basic understanding of failure analysis tools such as Six Sigma and 8D.
- At least 3-5 years of experience in mechanical development

- Experience in the development of cast components.
- Experience in the development of forged components.
- Experience in the development of gear sets/gearboxes.
- Experience in the development of shafts.
- Experience in the development of electromechanical systems such as solenoids and actuators.
- Experience in the development of seals, primarily radial seals.
- Experience in the development of bearings (all types).
- Knowledge of materials and heat treatment processes.
- Experience with Teamcenter PLM.
- Experience with Creo CAD software
